Morning's Light

a sunday post for you today (monday):

*whew* am finally home.  today was every bit the whirlwind that yesterday was not.  hmm..that’s vague.  let me explain.

saturday brought a snowstorm that kept most of the county inside.  I’d been hoping all week for the chance to stay at home, thinking the result would be a sparkling, perfectly organized apartment and a well-rested sunny but reality included watching a french film, cooking dinner, watching an oprah episode about hairstyles, and reading a few chapters in two books. all the while target was calling my name……but I couldn’t go. *sigh*

sunday began with my oversleeping, rushing to church for the "upstairs church" (the regular church service on the main level) and then going downstairs to see if one of my team members from the "space bar ministry" (the media team that runs the computer during services which are run by youth for youth…with the exception of the youth pastor who give the sermons) was ready to go.

I got swept into the crowd and attended the service then suddenly had two of my girls at my mom’s for a quick lunch and some card playing..then rushing to the theater to meet 14 friends from the youth ministry to see August Rush.  (my second time seeing it). 

Now I will enjoy a late dinner and watch the amazing race while rooting for kynt & vyxen – since they seem to be appreciating the race, the travel and the time in each country they visit.

MONDAY UPDATE:  woke up at 4 AM monday with a cold.  (raw throat, full-feeling ears, watery eyes, a headache and a cough.)  so it’s time for sleep. nighty-night.
