When I was younger, I’d say things at home like, “I don’t want to stay in, but I don’t want to go out. I don’t want to watch TV, but I don’t want to read.” My mom would glance over at me knowingly and say, “Sounds like you need sleep!” and she’d be right of course.
But what can I do now that I feel that way this afternoon? Drop suddenly onto the carpet for a nap, waking smiling to a confused group of people gazing down at me?
