Chez Larsson (the ultra organized Benita in Sweden) listed her six quirks today and challenged others. So here's a try at mine:
-
Preferred toppings on waffles/french toast: peanut butter + real maple syrup. [listing it as a quirk since I get made fun of for wanting peanut butter at breakfast.
-
When I picture the days of the week + months of the year and even hours in the day, I "see" it in my mind as going from right to left…with midweek (Wednesday) being in the middle….and saturday/sunday on the far left – to end the week. Same thing with months. June is in the middle..and since we're in September, it's more left in my head. So for the day, I picture midnight as far right on a timeline…with noon being in the middle…and afternoon just left of center.

I've had two concussions with resulting short term memory loss. You can tell me we've had a discussion about something and I'll thoroughly deny it. Tell me anyway that we had the discussion. Yet I'll remember random things…..hold on..that's #4.
-
I may have short term memory loss but I'll remember random things like the fact that your cousin has a green bookcase at home or that your niece's best friend prefers to watch the movie "Mary Poppins" repeatedly.
-
I don't like making left turns while driving. So I'll go a bit out of my way to go right instead or find a place that has a left turn arrow..making it a more precise turn.
-
I can't whistle. I can blow air..but can't whistle.
Done. Six quirks. Anyone else? I'd love to read yours!
(sorry – spacing issues. awaiting typepad's help with this….. the perfectionist in me is frustrated that the spacing is off. but I suppose that makes me human! imperfect!)
