SCENARIO 1

In the car one December, minute 10 of a 15 hour journey across the country. My friend Brian's mom asks, "Where is this 'Arbys' that you speak of?"   [what century does she believe us to be in?]

I began my reply with, "Well, Fairest Maiden….."

SCENARIO 2

I'm stuck behind a semi-trailer today at lunch as we both want to turn left at a light.  (You know how I adore left turns!)  We get a green arrow – permitting us to turn, and the driver sits there. Instead of honking, I calmly ask the driver, "Dude, go so that I may go as well."

This has been a crazy week.  No time to sit down at home, except to fall into bed when I get home from meetings or seeing friends.  That's why this weekend will be low-key. Saturday night, I'll be watching "Schindlers List" with Katie (from the youth group) who has never seen it.  We'll counter it with a lighter movie to be watched after a break for dinner.  Friends will join us for the second film.  The rest of the weekend will be as low key.  Might see the new film "The Women" since I'm a Meg Ryan fan.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ  {head on the desk, cheek smashed on the desk top, drool..you don't want to see this}

seriously. tired. cannot think straight. will update later with pretty pictures and weekend updates.

UPDATED HOURS LATER

When I got home tonight, I collapsed onto my bed while still wearing work clothes and slept solidly for two hours.

The lack of sleep was probably due to getting up Monday, Wednesday, Friday for an aqua challenge class that took place at 5:45 AM those days.   My old suit wasn't cutting it, so I checked online and www.oldnavy.com has clearance swimsuits for $9.99.  Worth checking out!  I got two swimsuits plus expediting shipping for less than $40!

I will now make a smoothie for dinner and curl up on the sofa to watch "Tabatha's Salon Takeover"  – my new most favorite show.
