I adore this vintage inspired home in Salt Lake City!

Glimpses of beauty and simplicity around the world.
Just bought my ticket to see The Minimalists in Madison, Wisconsin! So great to see them when they are on tour. This photo is from the first time they were on tour and visited Milwaukee in 2011. Look at this small group who showed up to talk all things minimalism with Josh and Ryan. What a great night!
Will you be seeing them on their 2017 tour?
As I pare down my belongings even further in 2017, I'm keeping in mind a few things: the Minimalists' idea of "just in case" (getting rid of things I think I need if I can replace it easily within 20 miles for under $20); Marie Kondo's method of keeping only what brings me joy (practical items bring me joy too!); and also determining if I'd would rather have the clear space in my apartment or keep the item. Clear space usually wins. It's dozens of small choices a week that keep my condo from looking like an episode of the British show, Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners – as in the family that needs help – not the obsessive cleaner! How are you doing in your home? Any hints for me to keep in mind?
Photos are from Claudia.

Deedee began working in an office-share environment and has made it a beautiful, cozy place to work!
Hello! It's been awhile only because I'm on "beautiful photo overload" on instagram (personal) and instagram (for this blog), and I don't want to post just any ol' house! {If you're on instagram, please comment with your link so we can all enjoy your photos!)
Stumbled on this cute Chicago home with character and clean lines. She describes her tendency to stock up and has to learn that slight hoarding isn't necessary. The photos speak for themselves. Adorable home.
She says, "On letting go: I have come to a point in my life where I realize I don’t have to hoard everything. Not that I was a hoarder, but I grew up without a ton of money, so I held onto a lot of things because that’s all I had. Since becoming an adult, I have realized that it’s okay to get rid of things if you’re not using them. We try to be purposeful with everything we bring in our house, so this quote exemplifies our way of living now."
I've long been a fan of Ingrid Jansen's style and work. I'm particularly smitten with her kitchen these days. She took a plan cabinet door and turned it into the cutest pinboard. Then she organized her beautiful dishes on an antique serving cart. Beautiful.
