Enjoying a blogging party this weekend at Serenity Now. What fun it's been to find new-to-me blogs to explore such as the one above with the adorable advent calendar.
How's your weekend going so far?
January is usually a great month to declutter rooms and closets, but these entryways and mudrooms are so colorfully organized that I'd like it to be January right now (minus any cold temps and snow, of course) so that I can put bins together and paint the floor purple! While I'm at it, I should practice my penmanship for I would like to write as shown on the blackboard in the fourth photo.

I have a fondness for Fisher Price little people – the ones from long ago – before they started making the people in bigger sizes. I own four of them from childhood- and have yet to run across any in thrift stores or rummage sales. I regret the yellow fisher price house with all furniture and people that was available at a thrift store in my brother Jay's town – for only $18 that I didn't bid on. (via Goodwill's online auction site)
I did, however, spend a day with the little people in my possession. Feel free to peruse that album - the captions help the photos make sense.
I'm thrilled that Oliva and Anne-Sophie of SoDeco have created a poster of the Fisher Price people and am hoping they ship to the U.S.!

or a refreshing-on-the-eyes white + green room…
Some lovely colors for you today. Those washcloths are much cuter than the ones I made in fifth grade as a starter project!
Happy FRIDAY to you! It's the weekend!
Ahhh..the bliss of finding a new blog - and one that is Swedish to boot! Found Annesse's blog via Confetti and am quite happy about it! Look at the room she and her husband decorated for their daughter!
Lovely images for a grey day – perfect for a warm beverage and a good book.
Did I mention it's also a perfect day for baking?!
======================================
I can tell it's the Christmas season. Much to do, little time at the computer, stacks of projects to complete. Tonight I get to help at church in a group of teens, but tomorrow night shall be set aside to work through some of the projects. May even set aside a front closet shelf for "action items" such as a baby gift to be wrapped up and sent off, a few Christmas gifts to be wrapped, and a stack of books to return to their rightful owners.
How are your projects? Do you have a lot to do or are you relaxing more this season than last?
