Lovely, simple Christmas decor in a hotel suite in which a family is living for a year while their house is being built. I'm with them. My one tree is a small, pink tree that resides on a side table and a matching wreath hangs on the front door.

At so-deco, a daughter requested a loft bed for her room. Her mom explained her thoughts here, "At first, I found imposing. We must rethink everything, instead of the dresser, toys …Enjoy the space under the bed to make it a cozy little corner. Not to mention my madness for sweet vintage!!"

It's a long (four-day) weekend for me here with plans and goals of rearranging my office nook, tidying up a walk in closet, hosting a game night as a farewell for a friend moving away for six months, meeting a friend for coffee, catching up on blogs at a cute new coffeebar in town, and going for some long walks.

hello from a crazy, crazy week. lots to do and then got a notice that the apartment managers are conducting a first-ever apartment inspection today. found out two days ago. thus two evenings were spent doing tasks I'd put off…such as tidying up the walk-in closet, clearing the kitchen's counters of the little things that find their way there (however do they do that?!), and giving the carpets a much-needed steam clean. luckily there were little touches to be added – pretty little things found at ikea this weekend. (yes, I went there again before attending a seminar given by teresa tapp of t-tapp – my most favorite workouts ever.)
the cleaning is done - watched some television and did some reading – including a favorite blog. had to show you the photos from new-to-me blogs like konfetti and weekday carnival.

yesterday I wore a dress
under a cardigan

Fooled people – they thought I was wearing a skirt.
Nope. A dress. I wear dresses year round as one of many layers.
Then I stumble on this adorable set of photos of one dress worn five ways.
Well, she's wearing the dress the same way (right side up, right side out) but accessorizing it differently each time.
