I am in blog-love with The Image Is Found – a married couple who are amazing photographers who live and work in the most stylish of settings using simplicity and pops of color.  The photos above are from their recent new-studio-opening, and the photos below are from their home.

    Katherine yaphe

Alanna posted the above photo on her blog, and I liked Katherine Yaphe's jeans and blue (teal?) shoes so much I had to visit her website to learn more about her. Was smitten with their site the moment I saw the kitchen with that striped rug.

    From their About page:

"We love contemporary design. We like beautifully crafted objects that are made with care and speak to us emotionally.

Everything selected for this site has been chosen for just that reason – because we love it. It’s plain and simple. There’s no formula, there’s no secret. We just know in our gut when something fits.

Whether it’s our own collection of hand-made rugs or a design object scouted from a far off corner of the globe, we only offer items that we’d want to fill our own homes (or closets).

Roam around and enjoy. We’re constantly inspired and hope our selection moves you in some way as well."

  • I normally wear lots of black, gray and berry colors….but seeing this collage of winter wardrobe options has me listing Navy! Denim! White! on my clothing-to-buy list.

  • annie + michael have the loveliest home (isn't it fun to see how people personalize rentals?!).  It's difficult to pick a favorite room, but I will go with the child's room – – it's adorable!

PS: Annie has a blog if you're interested.  I love her post on "home" where she talks about why she likes to be at home, her fondness for pretty things,  and collects vintage items to fit into her decor at home.

  • Olivia's blog, avec un O is so very beautiful.

Here are some photos from a recent post called "Light" (and one more tossed in for good measure!)

  • Camomile hixon - glitter art 3

Watching the Novogratz design show (HGTV) and Bob's talking to the glitter artist, Camomile Hixon.  I have never seen her work before but am stunned by how pretty (sparkling!) it is while being so neat at the same time.  Consider me her newest fan.

  • Wrap wallpaper around plywood and lean it against walls

Am a huge fan of Living, etc. magazine and occasionally splurge on an issue when I find one at barnes & noble (the only store for miles and miles that carries it in my state)… and their home idea website is cute and clever.

These photos are from their post on decorating a rental. My next decorating goal is to get some cute wallpaper to put over plywood and lean it somewhere against a wall  - then I can take it with me when I move (since I wouldn't take a wall-covered-with-wallpaper with me – it's a win win!). Saw the idea awhile ago in an Apartment Therapy post once and found it pretty and so very doable.
