I was in the office kitchen the other day while reading a book about a girl in New England that took an unexpected sad turn – and I had tears running down my face. A coworker walked in and looked at me funny. I just said "Sad" and pointed the book, and he replied "…and THAT'S why I DON'T read."

Today was so lovely…bright and sunny! Seemed like the perfect day. Took the day off to take a long drive with the windows open to catch the breeze. Felt colorful today. Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

What a fun weekend! Got caught up with a friend who was working in Chicago all summer with a children's urban ministry then saw Crazy Stupid Love (found it slow in the beginning but when it sped up halfway through, it became very funny). Today was a crazy, hectic birthday party for my nephew Shawn's eighth birthday. Today is also my brother Jay's birthday so happy birthday, Little Brother!
