This photo above is my favorite.  I keep staring at all the artwork, then I peek into the next room beyond the living room. So great!

Design*Sponge did a "best loved peeks" post and shared some of the most popular sneak peeks they've ever posted.  Here are some of my favorites.  I especially love the colorful home shown in the final three photos.   Hope you have a great weekend!

Good morning from an odd Wisconsin day that will hold sun, high temperatures, rain, hail and thunderstorms.  Great day to see a baseball game (in a dome, luckily).   With the weather battling itself outside, here inside I'm admiring the fresh new hall by Ingrid via fjeldborg.

In Ingrid's words, "..Some wires hanging and throw, and the FINE door to be painted shiny white. That's it! So delicious with freshly ground lists, ready-cabinet door and several boxes for storage."

This family home is everything I want my home to be:

    • streamlined
    • clean
    • colorful accents
    • organized
    • family friendly
    • spacious
    • light-filled

I'd move in tomorrow if they'd allow me to!

Am looking forward to a low-key weekend.  I have one event: a seven year old's birthday party.  Am supremely happy with these lack of plans because it's been one heck of a week with too much going on and no evenings at home.

What do you have planned this weekend?

  • Decorating with tape - 2

It's 6:44 AM.  Am procrastinating going to the grocery store even though I know it'll be nice and quiet this early in the morning.  Tonight is another Game Night here thus it should rightly be called Sloppy Joe Night for that is part of the attraction to bring the men to this apartment.  (hmmm..that doesn't sound quite right).   Perhaps the guests will not care that my closet is now in perfect order – a quest that has taken four years to accomplish. I may want to turn my attention to other rooms such as the kitchen and living room for a quick tidy and sparkle!

What are your Saturday stories of what you're doing today?

I almost wish I were decorating with tape using lessons I learned from  Boligliv magazine!

Gotta say. I have a little bit of a crush on this guy – Chris O'Dowd – the officer from Bridesmaids.

What a nice place to live when your messy days are still beautiful days.

Beautiful. Loving the blues and greens. And the whole imperfectness of it all.

While wandering through Target the other day with a friend, we checked out the clearance offerings on endcaps.  Found two sets of five-hook fixtures that were adorable: one white and one black.  $10 each. I snapped them up as my giftcard would easily cover the cost.

"I love hooks and would put all my clothing on them, even underwear",  I pretty-much-shouted to my friend.   She didn't fall for it…and questioned the underwear part.  She has a point.  I will continue to hide unmentionables away in drawers but everything else is fair game.

I then stumble upon this pretty blog where the author has just redone a corner of her bedroom to include two hook fixturs to tidy up her hoodies and scarves.  (note: I kept staring at the photo, wondering what the cute little room was around the half-wall  when I realized I was staring at the reflection of the bedroom in a mirror.  nice.)

    Here's the "before":
