yellow has never left the little circle of favorite colors of mine…have always had a fondness for yellow. hmmm…may have to buy a little yellow house sometime! must dash off now and put clothes on the line. or pretend to as I really use a regular ol' washer and dryer.
so I'm not crazy about tall the antlers BUT the linens, the curtains, the lighting and the Eames chairs – such a fan of this Dutch loft – an Amsterdam sugar warehouse loft built in 1763!!

It’s a quiet, hot Sunday afternoon. Just finished reading The Forgotten Garden. Had started it when it was due at the library, so I returned it. Then spent two days wondering what happened to the characters, so I got it back and read nonstop for three days. Now to pick another book to read. Am alternating between sitting on the deck outside and then escaping back into the cool apartment.

This wedding of Angie and Tyson's is so colorful, DIY and downright charming. I love that the wedding dress was only five dollars. Love the colors of the chairs. I even like the bridesmaid dresses! At Design Shimmer, party decorations for a girls night were created from magazine pages. LOVE IT!

I had a vacation day yesterday which produced some good news (in a way) and some bad news. The "good" news is that when my car was looked at yesterday, they found the brakes were in awful condition and so those got fixed. I feel safer driving my car now. But the bad news is that there are three oil leaks and one of them is so bad my brother recommends I start looking for a new car.
My little Honda which I've named Sophie has close to 170,000 miles on it, of which 145,000 are ones I put on the car during the last nine years. Now I have to save up to replace Sophie. Would love a Honda CR-V but that could just be wishful thinking.

thanks to table tonic, found a bunch of new blogs. most notable was caldwell flake, an interior design company that does a lot of formal rooms but makes them more fun with color. loads and loads of color. behold some of my favorite rooms!

After thrifting last week and scoring a three dollar coat tree, I've been looking daily for info on it. Haven't found my coat tree but I did find some cute, affordable ones. Was surprised as all get out that they are from kmart.com (online only, not in the stores). Seriously? K-Mart? nice.

I'm reading, sorting through the contents of at least one box filled with "miscellaneous stuff", lunching with a friend for her not-to-be-named significant birthday, and then visiting family. If I were to meander into a theater to see a movie, I'd like to see The Switch or the new Nanny McPhee movie.
Hello! Isn't the internet fun?! I followed a trail of blogs and websites to land at mixr which showed this great Buenos Aires apartment of Jorge and Veronica. I like how the bloggers at mixr described it (translated from Swedish into English):
