Jennifer and her husband's home (shown in this Apartment Therapy House Tour) have taken four years to make their home personalized and homey. I love their color choices which are consistent throughout the home, and that Jennifer mixes a bargain store throw pillow with a higher end unique one.

From this wedding post comes a photo that will inspire me to get more icy blue + rasberry accents at IKEA this weekend.
I'll be the one in the Schaumburg IKEA clutching the above photo and wandering around the accessories departments.

Pretty chair and pretty IKEA box storage via Simply Grove
Speaking of IKEA….am going this weekend to pick up an EXPEDIT bookcase. I've had my eye on one for five years. The time to bring one home is now. Plus a few other IKEA goodies I expect. Any recommendations for cute, new IKEA items I just have to have?
I am also going to pick up a striped, fabric balcony railing cover so that privacy will be mine on my deck. Curious neighbors live in the next building over, and I'd like to feel less on display when reading on the deck or dining with friends.

Emma shared photos of a captain's home in Sweden now lived in by designer Kristina Stark. Aren't these rooms stunning?
I've been out of the loop for a bit. Had a death in the family along with a birth! Am an auntie again and will get to see the little cutie CJ this weekend.
This bedroom is just what I'm craving – for it's simplicity and coziness. I have hooks on the wall similar to those shown below which makes it so easy to hang up clothes!

Alright. I want to live here via IKEA Family Live. I say that a lot but I really mean it this time. I want to be the artist Nina van de Goor and live in her cozy bedroom and the colorful kitchen that certainly does look like a cafe. Here's the story about her place.
The whole place and even Nina herself give off this relaxed vibe that has such casual elegance.
Pardon me while I go drool over the photos and make plans to step up the accessorizing my apartment and pinning my now-that-it's-long-what-do-I-do-with-it hair up into a cute bun. Just sayin'.

Simple bathroom.
Simple sleeping loft.
What a perfect little home for one or two people to share! I was captivated by the kitchen photo but the rest of the little home drew me in as well.
You can read the article and/or browse the slideshow. It's all about artist Michelle de la Vega. What I love is that Michelle wanted more metal pieces in her home so she took a welding class, and her website now lists her as a welder. She has a curiosity about life and is willing to do the studying necessary to do what she's interested in..not just talk about it. Impressive really.

This loft has my favorite shade of blue, gorgeous dining chairs, a pretty blue/white chair in the living area, and hello! those windows!!
Hope you had a great weekend! Mine was so full but also felt like I was on vacation for a week. I was invited at the last minute to be a chaperon for a sweet sixteen birthday party/overnight at an indoor water park. Twenty-four hours there felt like being on vacation for a week. That's a good weekend!
But now it's Tuesday. Hope your day is relaxing at home and productive at work!

Simply Grove published photos by Amber Fischer of the shop Brass Razoo. It's all so pretty! I adore the dressing rooms (especially the center one!). If they'd let me move in, I would! Instead, I'll just use as many exclamation points as possible to show my enthusiasm!!!!!
Oh by the way, I'm happy it's Thursday = Friday-Eve.
