Can't get enough of these blue/turquoise items! Yellow has been my go-to color but turquoise may be a close, close runner-up! That pillow is adorable!!

Since so much decor inspiration comes from Denmark, I'd love to visit the country someday! Meanwhile, here are some photos of artists Sidsel and Line and of their homes (as seen in BoligLiv and on Decor8). There's something about the light, the generous use of white paint, the pops of color that just makes my heart go pitter patter!

BEFORE: the coffee corner with some funky artwork, originally uploaded by sunnygirlwi.
I'm participating in my first Cure – the Apartment Therapy Kitchen Cure for 2010. Here's a photo of my counter that needs help along with other photos of my kitchen. I did not have a need for all the cabinets in my kitchen, so upon move-in, items got tossed into cabinets and drawers without a real system set up. Two years later, it's time for a thorough cleaning and not even a redecorating stint…more like "decorating for the first time".
Anyone else participating in the four-week Kitchen Cure?
My rental kitchen (definitely a "before" photo!).
BEFORE: The kitchen before completing the AT Kitchen Cure including the cluttered refrigerator, the counter full of mish-mashed items, a counter still wet from a quick wipe down, and some random objects above the cupboards.

I love this homey back entryway at Ashley's house! It's those mugs and the aprons and bags hanging on hooks. Lovely! It's a sunny day around here and am trying to soak up all the sunshine I can! I've missed it!!

Here's what I'm talking about. Color everywhere! Jasna Janekovic is a graphic designer from Germany. No wonder her apartment is filled with personal touches that all include color and pattern. Just check out this lime polka dotted refrigerator that Jasna painted herself! She has added personal touches in every room.
bathroom Jasna painted the furniture turquoise and berry lilac. Pretty combination!
hallway Jasna framed pages from a book and ….
even her bike is personalized!
For more information on Jasna, you can visit her website here and view her photos here.
This week I was so happy to toss a tall stack of magazines into the recycling dumpster! Felt so good to get rid of those pounds and pounds of magazines out of my home!
That feeling didn't last long because today the library had a magazine giveaway and about thirty magazines found their way into my place…. all Martha Stewart Living and House Beautiful.
So the decluttering of the apartment took a big step backwards today.

I'm naturally drawn to white decor photos….like a magnet. BUT what I really want to surround myself with is color….lots of it. The colors above are in my bathroom with yellow in my bedroom, and reds in the kitchen and living room. I need color like I need to breathe. (ooohh Need to Breathe – great band)
These designs are from the interior design firm of Arent & Pyke. Aren't they lovely?

Hmm..that could be the title of almost entry here: "….white + clean lines"! But this brick house in Hemet, California (I once had a roommate, Cindi, from Hemet – small world) has lots of white and the lines are clearly clean. Many more photos can be found at the AT House Tour.
Great entryway – the hooks and the bag, and the corner home office is just right!
(where's the coffee maker? the toaster? the bowl of fruit? cute little picture? just wonderin')
