  • A new film opens today:  Definitely Maybe
  • Talked today with friends about two great films (comedy classics): What About Bob? and Groundhog Day.
  • Am finalizing plans for a retreat for 35 people this weekend.  Details keep spinning around in my mind.
  • Trying to decide on a new pair of glasses….. the frames anyway. I remember Lenscrafters as being a typical mall vision center…but this one was trendy, with pretty sales people, a lot of customers, loud music, and brands to choose from like Prada, Chanel and D & G.  Laughed (not aloud!) at the contrast when browsing in another, smaller vision center.  Not hip, not bustling, chirping birds instead of music, and brands like Sophia Loren and Pepsi.

    LOVED both What About Bob and Groundhog Day! Great movies! And, had you told me you were going to be glasses shopping, I would have taken you for moral support when I went last weekend. I HATE choosing those frames because they all look hideous on me in my opinion. This may be the reason my current pair was over 10 years old! AND, to add insult to injury, they were having a 2 for 1 sale! So, now I had to choose TWO pairs. In a state of panic, I solicited the services of the sales clerk and a few random customers to make the choices for me. I trusted their decisions and went along with their selections…and that actually rendered the process rather painless! Had you been there though, you could have selected for me and as a cruel joke hooked me up with a zebra print large frame and some sort of psychedelic pair that changes colors with my mood or something… 🙂
