Y'all know I have a new favorite blog, Pretty Good.  She posted the prettiest photo of ribbon today!

Pretty good - colorful ribbon

It's Thursday, which means youth group small groups were last night. A new junior high leader, Jennie, was there to help the discussion.  She was amazed at the lack of respect by a particularly disruptive group of four girls.  I agree.  They're disruptive, and I'm at a loss as to how to get a group of 9-15 seventh and eighth graders to sit still, listen and participate in a discussion for roughly 30 minutes.

Words of advice totally welcome.

Advice: Well what works fo rme witht he boys is be stern at first, and once they start settling down start being the Fun Mrs. Nicole. Also, set the tone for the meeting IMMEDIATELY. Maybe even a skittle or M&M reward. Like, I am sure you do a group prayer at the end, so only distribute the candy, one to each girl, if the meeting has gone well. Have them suck on the candy, while the prayer is happening, and then eat it at eh end. Silly, but it worked for me as a teen. LOL!

Great idea, Nicole. LOVE it. I have no problem being stern..and I really
do love these girls…they’re just trying my patience..like it’s a power
    struggle and they’re winning.
I’ll try being stern at first then fun..and try the candy trick.
