Sonic Sunday: took two "Sonic virgins" and one Sonic fan to the latest Sonic to arrive in Wisconsin. How to survive an hour long wait in a line of cars snaking around a building to be allowed to enter the drive-thru lane or a drive-in stall? Drink lots of sugar, entertain the driver, and take loads of photos.

Worth the drive, the wait, and the nap after lunch!
My boyfriend is obsessed with Sonic’s various-flavored limeades. For his last birthday, we rented a car and drove for one hour to the nearest Sonic to indulge this fetish. We brought a cooler with us, ordered ten large cherry limeades without ice, then brought them home and froze them. He thawed them out and added Sprite to them for the fizziness for months afterward.

What a GREAT idea! I am addicted to the fresh fruit slushies – specifically
the strawberry one. I probably can recreate it at home. Love that you took
a cooler and that he had them for months! Did you get anything at Sonic?

The day before (Saturday), friends of mine waited for two hours. TWO
HOURS.
If I’d known it had only recently opened (thus the long lines), I’d have
waited a month or two to go, when it would be just any ol’ restaurant.
Wait. I take that back. Sonic is never just any ol’ restaurant! I love the
beverages and crave the strawberry slushie.

Seeing you guys munching on those burgers makes me wanna bring my friends there to grab a bite. Oh boy, I just remembered something, I have to finish making the route we’re going to travel through for our yearly road trip to Canada; but this time, we’re looking for best places to eat in each State.
