This kitchen – with its dark paint, wooden crates, baskets and wooden island – is just what I would want for my kitchen. Maxwell of Apartment Therapy noticed a trend of darker paint colors being selected for homes, and I can now see why. It contrasts so prettily with the rustic accessories and furniture!
Am a sucker for hooks on the wall. These are no exception.

I’m not a fan of dark walls, but I have to admit this kitchen is amazing. The white of the cupboards works well against the dark. Love, love, love the hooks and have some new, but rustic looking, fluer de lys ones waiting to be hung in my new place. I’m also going to add hooks to an old shutter for my kitchen. ♥
